[Night Life in SG] Martell VSOP Black Tie Edition by Jason Wu event party at Zouk Singapore

Hey guys!

I know I haven't been really updating my blog and I really think I should update much more often because some of my readers are already asking me where am I! hahaha! okok I'm back now!

 yay :)

I'm about to share one remarkable event which took place at Zouk Singapore recently and this event definitely leave some great memories, so, this shall be marked as my first blog post for the the year 2015! 

As you all know that Zouk Singapore will be closing pretty soon and most of my youngest time (during weekends) was literally spent here. Yeah, I clubbed, chilled and enjoyed myself here with my friends when I was in my early twenties. I'm sure many of u do share the same feeling - we will miss this awesome place!

I feel super thankful as I was one of the winner who joined  one of Juice Singapore's FB contest - exclusive invites and bag a bottle of Martell Black Tie Edition by Jason Wu home! Omg! Can you believe it? That's what I told myself! We are going to have a great night! ME and Melvin! Woohoo!

And so, on 30th January 2015, Friday.....

We attended the party with joy and a thankful heart!

The highlight of the event

Martell VSOP, Cherry Brandy, Simple syrup topped up with ginger ale and garnished with a cherry

Georgian mint Julep (right)

Martell VSOP, Peach Liqueur, Garnished with mint leaves

My very first bottle of Martell VSOP Black Tie Edition by Jason Wu.

I would prefer 'The Wu' as it tasted lightly fruity sweet and you get to really taste the intense note of the Martell. Very Nice! 

Super love the bottle so much!

It's matte finish with elegance indeed!

From far it does look like it's wearing a tuxedo! Cute!

There was promotion going on during the event it was definitely a blast!

We were also given a black bow-tie as part of the party theme and so we tried wearing it.

I can actually keep it for future use!

Hahaha.. he was enjoying every bit until I started putting this bow-tie for him! LOL

Did I tighten it too much? hmm.. 

At the end of the event, I am so grateful because they'd announced that I'm one of the Instagram contest winner and manage to bring home another bottle of Martell VSOP Black Tie Edition!! 

They said I made an effort to collage and edit despite the environment is dark.

It was definitely an enjoyable and remarkable night spend at Zouk Singapore for this event!

The ladies were so professional and friendly. I was a little lost as to where to get into the line or should I even queue even though I have registered under guest-list (there were many queues and some youngsters just cut queue or push their way in front to get in, only to know they're asked to go outside and have a 5-mins break before joining in the queue again -_-''').

[Lifestyle] For all the Aries out there, do you feel the same way too?

Something I've been reading on and really states what I am and how I feel.

I'm an Aries if you're wondering :)

There's a saying about being a strong minded woman need not a man to begin with. But well, deep down in all women, we still need love, care and concern. If a man can pamper us and love us whole heartedly, why not right? But how about getting to know a guy and how to know if the guy is really committed? It's really a 50/50 risk.

Lately, I've been very into horoscope, not because I really trust it but it seems to be quite accurate when its talking about me, myself. Okay I give it a 70 out of 100.

I'm quite an aloof person if I want to, hot and cold sometimes and when I'm into the mood, I'll be the most noisiest person running and hopping around hoping that whatever I do will lighten the mood.

I like people around me to be happy and have fun.

I'm that kinda girl.

But recently, I was quite upset about relationship issues.

Nope, not about me and Melvin.

We are fine. We learn to give and take.

We learn to be honest and take things one at a time.

We prioritize our time for each other, we accept our flaws and learn that human makes mistakes.

But there are times, I'll start to feel whether I'm wanted, whether things I've been doing are right and will he appreciate or take me for granted. Blame it on PMS. -_-

But I'm glad that we still stay strong despite most people around us literally condemn on our relationship just because of our past. Who doesn't have past eh?

The most important thing is that we know we have each other, we know we need to grow up and think for our future.

"You'll change when you meet the right person."

My questions starts now...

Why do guys can't be truthful to their girlfriends?

Saying they're home but they're actually out with friends drinking or chilling?

Saying they're busy when they're actually meeting their friends having fun?

Demanding and expecting their girlfriends to make it up to them when it's obviously his fault for not prioritizing his time well?

Why do guys like to take girls for granted?

*I'm not saying all guys, but a specific some.

I just feel that Relationship takes 2 hands to clap!

If you pamper your girl, she'll love you well.

I posted an update not too long ago in Mandarin about how to care and love your girl:

[Lifestyle] Food, Thai Clubs and Happenings in Singapore and Malaysia, July 2014

Just a mini recap on what I've done during July this year.

It was one hell'lova great and fun time with my love ones and friends.

So much happenings just within July so here I am gonna share them with you. :)

Me and Melvin went to catch Transformers: Age Of Extinction at Cineleisure's Cineplex Platinum Suite as part of the birthday celebration of our dear friend, Jim on 1st July.

Definitely my first time and a memorable one!

Imagine the whole ambiance was so cozy, with reclining chair and blanket to keep you warm, you can even order drinks and food to accompany you during the whole movie experience. 

Me and Melvin ordered a can of beer each and my favorite truffle fries! 

Of course the price will be much more pricier than the normal standard weekday/weekend movie tickets. But for me, it's an unforgettable experience. 

I'm very glad to have spent that awesome night with my love one and friends! <3

Then, It was Melvin's very good friend, Louis's wedding in KL.

We stayed 3D2N at The Yard Boutique Hotel KL (booked the whole entire boutique hotel which consists of 11 rooms in total) which is super near to the Jalan Ah Lor food street!

 Ended the second day; wedding night with a bang with cartons of booze, snacks and even hired a live band to perform at our boutique hotel.

Very first experience and it was super fun!

Tried new drink at Melvin's favorite KL Wanton Mee Stall.

It's actually Tea with Milk and Gula Melaka.

Slightly sweet but it's yummy!

Even when we're in another country, we still can't let go our love for salmon sashimi.

His favorite tuna sushi.

Manage to 'book' my dearest Mag jie out for a quick lunch catch up!

We went to Shikshin Korean BBQ at Tampines 1 for lunch.

Spent the time chatting and nom-ing away.

Miss those days we have much more time for each other. Now, we have our own commitments (work, family, relationships...) thus is super hard for us to organize a meet up. 

Definitely appreciate and happy to even manage to prioritize time out for this short catch up!

I used to go clubbing kinda often with my girlfriends and if I were to choose now, I would prefer to go singing and drinking instead. 

Maybe it's cause of my age. No longer that flexible. LOL.

Neh, It's just cause I no longer enjoy those crowded places where people get high and drunk, and starts to push around and ended up fighting.

So one of Melvin's friend was suggesting to 're-visit' Butter Factory and so...

The crowd was still as rowdy and dance floor is packed as usual.

But all in all, we still did have a great time laughing around, drinking and dancing!

Great to catch up with Cookie sweets!

My all time favorite steamboat at Liang Seah Street.

Melvin wasn't keen on steamboats before being together with me. After knowing that I love it alot, and I do crave for it quite often, he'll bring me to have it so that I can be a happy girl. Sweet right? 

Haha Okay, there goes my diet. LOL.

Alot of time, people will comment saying that having steamboat buffet often is very fattening but if you choose your food wisely such as having more veggies and chew more than you put into your mouth, then it's fine.

I usually cut down on my food intake the next day after having steamboat so I rarely gain that extra weight.

I only gain weight or rather, gain water retention when I'm about to have my period.

Do you have such problems too?

Sad case but true, we just have to live with it. If anyone of you know how to get rid of water retention, please share with me, okay? :)

It was my very first time to Jupiter at Orchard Towers.

It's a Thai club in Singapore and one of the recommended club to visit by Nicholas (Ben's Bro).

We had great time chilling, playing games and drinking till we don't even know what we're doing. LOL!

It was an unforgettable night because... Shshshssh! That's our secret! hurhur^^ 

Those who been there with us will know what exactly happened. Shall not comment further. *muahaha*

 The drinks there is rather cheap! 1 for 1 Courvoisier for $198 before 11pm!

What a deal!

We'd been to a number of Thai clubs and this is definitely one of the most affordable one!

And so, this is my mini updates for July.

[Beauty review] The Spa Lon ATP-38 Treatment - One of the best facials in Singapore

I hope everyone's been doing great!

Gonna share with you a beauty post regarding one of my favorite facials experience.


I'd visited The Spa-Lon at the Tiong Bahru Plaza Branch earlier last month and I was totally sold!

Thanks to Mag, I get to try out one of their signature treatment which not only helps in improving my skin radiance and promotes also healthier-looking skin.

I was already anticipating to try out their signature ATP-38 treatment because I want better skin!

But before everything, I was to fill up a form for record purpose on whether my health and skin conditions are suitable to do the treatment. Also, It was my first time getting my blood pressure checked for a facial experience!

They really do take great care of you! :)

Am ready to get my make up removed by the branch manager, Irene who's super professional and give great advice to help improve my skin. :) She analyzed my skin and was totally spot-on!
She was saying that I don't often go to toilet unless i'm super urgent, and I don't have enough rest and that is not right.
Cleansing is definitely one of the important step to great skin!


More often I uses cleansing oil to remove my make ups but Irene was sharing with me that it's better to use cleansing milk because it keeps our skin hydrated while removing the impurities.
Double cleansing is important especially when I do put BB creams and sunblocks.

In this ATP-38 treatment that takes about 1.5 hours and consists of 5 steps:

Micropeeling Treatment S$690.00 (4mins):
Using the finest coridon sand with this micro-dermabrasion treatment, the skin is cleansed, dead skin cells are exfoliated and fine lines removed with minimal discomfort. Pigmentation and dark spots are also reduced.

Photo Rejuvenation Treatment S$249.00 (12mins):

Cryocooling Treatment S$439.00 (10mins): 

Eye-bags and dark circles are visibly reduced and the surface of the eye contour is smoothened. This is because the eye contour is subjected to a soothing, low temperature handpiece.

Eye-lifting Treatment S$490.00 (10mins): 

Electromagnetic waves are used to “lift” the eye contour, smoothening expression lines and crow’s feet.

[Zerika-says: It's not those normal facials where the facial therapist will cleanse, tone, extract, massage, moisturize, mask and so on (not in order because some salons does some first). 

The micropeeling treatment was not painful at all and it helps to remove the dead skin cells very well without any extractions done because extractions can damage your skin if it's not done properly.

 Irene, the branch manager, was very thoughtful to let me know there might be a little stinging feeling and it is normal to feel that way. 

I'd enjoyed the whole process though (maybe my skin is thick! LOL) but overall it gives instant result and my skin was shining with radiance! 

I feel that the Radio Frequency Treatment was one of the best innovative treatment ever! 

How can it help to lift my side chin up and gave me well-tone skin in just a few strokes?!

When Irene showed the difference between my left and right, I just 'Wow!'
You guys gotta try and see the difference! Amazing!

Eye-lifting Treatment and Cryocooling Treatment are so enjoyable! 
I always neglect my eyes and Irene was telling me that eyes is important because it also shows how old you are. After the eye treatment I felt my eyes rested very well, the skin around my eyes are lifted and my eye bags seems reduced. 
Feel fresher after the whole ATP-38 treatment.
